IELTS Speaking EXAM : This is an 11 to 14 minutes exam which comprises of 3 questions in total. There is a face to face interview done which is inclusive of an introduction of the candidate, a detailed discussion and also a cue card. This test is divided into 3 parts. In part 1, the examiner will ask general questions which you are familiar with like studies, work or home. The test time is 4 to 5 minutes. In part 2, the individual will be given a card which will be inclusive of a specific topic. The test taker will be given 1 minute to prepare and then he/she has to speak for 2 minutes. The examiner will ask the test taker, 1 or 2 questions on the topic that has been selected. In part 3, the individual will be asked about the question that has been selected in part 2. In part 3, the individual will be given the opportunity to discuss the issues and ideas. The time of this last part is 4 to 5 minutes.
After you take the IELTS exam, the results will be available in 3 to 5 days. The Test Report Form (TRF) will be the format of the result. The TRF will showcase your score in all of the four sections, i.e. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The scores are given on a 9 band scale.
